Most of my clients already go to the gym. The problem is not motivation. It is walking in and feeling like everyone else knows something they do not. They are not sure which exercises to do, whether their form is right, or if they are wasting time on a plan that does not fit their body.
I am Shahar Parush, a native English speaker (and Hebrew) based in Haifa. I coach online clients anywhere in Israel - including olim and English speakers who want clear communication without gym-bro hype - and I also train in person at FitBox and at home in the Haifa area.
What online coaching actually looks like
You train at your own gym. I write the plan in the workout app: which exercises, how many sets, where to start with the weight. Each week we check in. If a movement feels unclear, you send a short video and I send a correction. That is the whole product, minus the slogans.
It is not a daily Zoom class. It is not a PDF that arrives once and then goes silent. YouTube cannot see your weekly hours, the machine that is always taken, or the fact that you freeze when the floor gets busy. A coach can.
If you want the Hebrew version of this topic: מאמן כושר אונליין - למי זה מתאים.
Who this is for
- People who already have a gym membership but feel lost once they walk in
- Olim and English speakers who want coaching in plain language
- Busy adults who can give three days a week, about 45 minutes, and need the plan to flex when life moves
- Anyone who hates being shouted at, and still wants someone to keep them honest
The inner sentence I hear most: "I go to the gym, I feel like everyone is watching, I am not sure what I am doing, and I am afraid I am wasting time." If that is you, you are in the right place. Longer version of that feeling (Hebrew): מרגישים שכולם מסתכלים במכון?
Who this is not for
- Advanced athletes hunting tiny performance edges
- People who want hype, cheerleading, or guaranteed weight-loss claims - I will not write those
- Boxing or kickboxing - I coach those in person in Haifa only
- Anyone unwilling to follow a written plan or send the occasional form video

4 weeks, ₪299, no monthly minimum - then a full credit if you continue.
How to choose an online coach in Israel
- Public prices. If you must "message for a quote" before you know the offer, you are in a sales call first.
- A written week, not vibes. Ask what happens between sessions.
- Response rules. Mine: within 48 hours, Sunday-Thursday, 09:30-21:00.
- The plan matches your gym. I ask what equipment you have. I do not send a bar-only program to a machine gym.
- A small first step. A 3-month lock from day one is a hard sell. Foundation is 4 weeks on purpose.
- Tone. If the gym already makes you tense, a loud coach makes it worse.
What a Foundation month includes
The Foundation program is ₪299 for 4 weeks. No monthly commitment. It includes a custom plan in the app, a kickoff call of about 45 minutes, 4 weekly check-ins, one video form review, and calorie plus macro targets (not a full meal plan). If you continue to a monthly tier within 7 days of finishing, the full ₪299 is credited to month 1.
Monthly tiers after that: Basic ₪399, Standard ₪499, VIP ₪899. The 3-month minimum applies only to those tiers. Policies: service policies. Tier details: online coaching compare.
A free sample upper-body session lives here: upper-body starter workout (Hebrew page, bilingual exercise names).
Online vs in-person in Haifa
If you live in Haifa and want someone in the room, I train at FitBox and at home in Carmel, Horev, and Ahuza. Walk-in personal training at FitBox is ₪275. At-home starts at ₪350. Beginner boxing and kickboxing is ₪225, in person only. Full English local page: English-speaking personal trainer in Haifa.
If the main problem is "I do not know what to do at the gym I already pay for," online is usually the better spend. One in-person session in Haifa is roughly the same money as four weeks of Foundation. That comparison is the whole point of the offer.
A normal week, in plain English
Three training days. Each session is written the night before, not invented on the treadmill. You tick it off in the app. Once a week you send a short note: what you finished, what you skipped, what felt heavy. I adjust. Once in Foundation you send a form video. That is enough to catch the common beginner misses: ribs flaring on a press, knees diving in on a squat, pulling with the arms on a pulldown.
I will not promise a number on the scale. Strength going up on the same movement, sessions actually happening, and less dread when you swipe the membership card - those are the markers I watch. Body-composition change, if it comes, comes as a side effect of that structure, not as a guarantee printed on a sales page.
If you like numbers, the site has a nutrition calculator and a weekly volume calculator. They are educational tools, not a coach. If you want someone to set the targets and the sessions for you, that is Foundation.
What I need from you
Honesty about your week. A gym photo of the floor or a list of machines helps. You do not need to be fit already. You do need to show up for the three days we agreed, or tell me when life broke the plan so I can rewrite the week instead of watching you silently miss four sessions.
Health issues stay with your doctor. I will ask you to get clearance when something sounds medical. I will not program through sharp pain because a calendar says "leg day."
How to start without a sales call
Take the 2-minute quiz for a personal summary, no pitch call. Or go straight to Foundation if you already know you want a 4-week plan. I reply within 48 hours on weekdays. WhatsApp is fine for short questions after you are in.
You already show up. My job is to make the gym feel like a place you belong - with a plan, not a pep talk.
Start with 4 weeks, not a 3-month lock
₪299 - custom plan, weekly check-ins, one form video. Credit if you continue.
